We started private lessons with Desiree for our German Shepherd Dexter shortly after we got him at 8 weeks old. It helped that over the five week period she was there to answer all of our questions and work through all of the quirky new puppy issues as they came up. From whining at the door to come in to chewing on peoples feet and a strange leash issue she was there every step of the way to help us through it. Now he is a well mannered, wonderfully well adjusted 4 month old puppy and we managed to get there without ever putting a choke chain on him. It was great to have someone come in and talk with us about what we wanted to get out of the training and set goals to work towards. It's also nice to see him pick up one of the kids toys from 30 feet away and to calmly say "drop it" and have him listen. For anyone who is having issues with their dog I would highly recommend Attentive Canine Training, I can't express how much the training helped our house be a calm and peaceful place.

I attended Pet Dog Manners class with Hershey, my 6 month old Border Collie. He loved the classes and learned everything right away. Every class included socialization between dogs which helped him come a long way in overcoming his fear of strange dogs. Now I am able to take him walking and hiking and swimming without a leash and call him back whenever I choose. I am grateful to have found such a great class. It was exactly what Hershey needed to be able to run and play without me having to keep him leashed and always having to watch for dogs. I would recommend Attentive Canine Training to anyone who needs help with their dog.

I went to obedience classes at Attentive Canine Training with my dog Wyatt. Wyatt is a Shepherd/Rottweiler cross who was about 1 year old when he was given to me. I was surprised by how much fun the class was for us both and how quickly and willingly he learned everything. I had been to classes before with my previous dogs that used choke chains and punishment and taught that you needed to "Show the dog who is the boss". I realize now that Wyatt always knew I'm the 'boss' because without me he wouldn't have food or shelter or a yard and he's smart enough to know that without being "told". Now I have a happy dog who is also my friend and he does what I ask him to because he loves me and trusts me. Positive training is the only way to go.

My name is Amanda and I went to obedience class with my mom and my dog, Apollo. I've never had my own dog before and I didn't know how to train him. At class I learned how to teach him obedience and how to be nice to other dogs. Even though it wasn't in the class she also showed me how to teach him not to dig in the yard and chew my familys stuff and if he had kept doing that we might not have been able to keep him.

This spring we took a five week puppy class with our lab Molly. The classes were affordable and fun for the whole family. I wasn't sure if my kids would be able to participate but Desiree assured me that her classes and training styles were designed to include children of all ages. Our whole family was able to come to class and we all had a wonderful time. Even though Molly was only 12 weeks old when we did the training now at 6 months she remembers all her training and listens as well to my 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter as she does to me. I would gladly recommend Attentive Canine Training to anyone who wants a happy obedient dog and a happy training experience.

My husband and I went to obedience class with our Cocker Spaniel Asha. Desiree was very supportive and made sure that we got all the help we needed, even when I would ask her to show me something more than once. We really appreciated all the time you spent with us and Asha and how well she listens now. Now we can take her to the park to run around and not worry that she wont come when we call her back.
